Gift Idea: Create a Card Making Kit
A card making kit is a fun gift idea that lets the recipient get creative! One of my friends recently got into making her own cards, so I wanted to send her some fun paper and decorations that she can use to easily craft her own cards.
You can choose whatever style best suits your gift recipient. I was going for a cheerful spring look.

Here’s what I used to make the card bases. (I love the fun shapes that add a touch of whimsy to the cards.)
Here’s the Scallop Card Base.
This is the die cut machine I use: Sizzix Big Shot.
There’s no right or wrong way to assemble these cards—I stuck with two color palettes (green/red, pink/purple/blue) and really any of the pieces could work with each other. My friend can use as many or as few pieces as she likes, and have leftovers for future cards.
Several of the background papers I chose are double sided, giving her even more options.

Here are some of the other die cuts I used:
Mini flowers

Here’s a slightly different Doily
You can find more dies in this kit on The Stamps of Life website.
I also added an easy to use tape adhesive to the kit.
Remember to include envelopes! (I tucked the smallest pieces into their own envelope too.)
Add stamps too if you wish to make it even easier for your recipient to send their cards via snail mail.
I think I might do more simple posts like this in the future to share my craft projects.
I’ve realized with my energy being so low lately (it’s been a very flarey winter and spring for my chronic illnesses), I’ve felt I’ve had to choose between whether I create something or share a blog post. I figured I could combine the two!
I’ll also continue to share my own card making and Disneybound outfits on my Instagram. It’s a nice, easy way for me to share these creative pursuits!

Hi, Cassie,
I enjoy making cards too, so I love this idea! You are so sweet to be always looking for ways to encourage others. Yes, I would enjoy more short blog posts about your crafts! Have you ever made suncatchers out of kite paper? I think that is something you’d enjoy doing–it doesn’t require much energy, and I love giving them to friends as gifts, plus enjoying them on my own windows!

These are so much fun! What a cute idea. I am getting flashbacks from childhood scrapbooking days :).

Thank you Olivia! Ooh I’ve been wanting to get back into scrapbooking. You’ve given me a good idea for a future post.
