Snapshot Journal: Spring Is Here
I love that recording just a brief snapshot of what I’ve been up to has been an attainable, rewarding goal. I’ve enjoyed looking back at my previous snapshot posts.
This practice seems especially helpful for those of us with chronic illness who enjoy journaling. I’m finally recovering from a bad ME/CFS flare that sent me to bed for most of five days and then lingered for over two weeks longer, so I wanted to spend some time reflecting on good things.
I hope this post inspires you to create a snapshot journal of your own. Feel free to adjust it to fit your own interests and energy levels.

Staying pretty consistent with my gratitude journal.
Little things
The picture for my calendar this month wasn’t making me happy, so I cut out a page from last year’s calendar and put it over it.
Eating
Off the Eaten Path veggie crisps
Bagels with faux cream cheese. I haven’t had either of these in such a long time, and was delighted to find gluten-free, dairy-free options. (Brands: Schar and Daiya)

What if…? Season 2 (Disney+)
I’ve been watching Disney animated movies in (somewhat) chronological order
Worlds Figure Skating Championship

Accomplishments
Cutting tags out of everything in my dresser. I try to do this with all my clothes but I have missed some. Next up: looking at everything in my closet.
Going outside three days in March when it hit 70 degrees! So rare for Washington in March.
I did build the LEGO set I mentioned in my last snapshot journal earlier this year!
Decluttering
My phone homescreen—I’ve found a more minimal look that is working for me, and easy for me to adjust depending on which apps I want to focus on.
The never-ending piles of sticky notes.
Planning
To go see tulip fields.
Needing
To find a new boxed cake mix, as the vegan one we get is discontinued.
I mentioned last time I was trying to find a new hazelnut milk–I did! Here’s a link.
Wanting
More warm weather
Bible Verse that has stood out to me
“The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17
