Jane Austen Gift Guide

I’m a huge fan of Jane Austen’s books, so I’ve been having so much fun looking up ideas as I was creating this Jane Austen gift guide to share with you!

Whether you’re shopping for an Austen fan, or looking for ideas to add to your own wish list, I hope you enjoy checking out these ideas and find inspiration here!

The ideas I’ve listed would work great for Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, or a just-because.

I’ve loved reading and re-reading Austen’s books, and I’m a huge fan of many of the movie adaptations.

(“Emma” is my favorite—I love the comedy of errors that Emma gets herself into by overestimating her matchmaking abilities. And I love to see how the characters, especially our overly-imaginative heroine, grow by the end of the book.)

So what do you get for an Austen fan who may already have copies of all the books and latest films already? I have some ideas…

This post contains Amazon affiliate links, which means I receive a small portion of sales, at no additional cost to you. Thank you for supporting my blog through your purchase!

Jane Austen Games

Playing Cards

What lovely artwork to bring a touch of Regency whimsy to card games. Definitely on my wishlist!

Lizzy loves Darcy

This game looks so fun. The artwork is giving me Alice in Wonderland vibes, and I love it.

Cribbage Board Game

I watched this fun tutorial on how cribbage was a Regency era game, and I’ve been wanting to learn to play for some time. My dad is going to teach me.

Does anyone have a good tutorial on learning to play whist? I see this game mentioned in Austen’s novels and other books, and I’ve always been curious to try it.

Jane Austen Crafts and Projects

Jane Austen Embroidery Kit

I got this beautiful kit for Christmas last year, and I’ve been reading about the techniques used and enjoying looking through the charming designs. Am I scared I’ll mess up? Yes. Will I try as soon as I have some more brain power? YES.

Pride and Prejudice Coloring Book

I absolutely love the detail and style of this coloring book! I have a couple books in this collection and they’re so beautiful and fun to color.

Jane Austen Coloring Book

Here’s another lovely coloring book that I was gifted. I’ve really enjoyed coloring it, and I like that it’s a nice size for popping in my purse if I want to color outside.

Dear Jane Paper Stack

Have someone crafty on your list? This paper is perfect for sweet and romantic scrapbooks or cards, and its one of my favorites in my stash.

Austen-Inspired Artwork

Stickers

A friend bought me some of these beautiful stickers last year, including this collection of Anne Elliot inspired stickers (because I love the ocean and she saw the ship sticker). There are collections for each Austen heroine.

I love my Jane Austen book stack sticker and have it tucked into my bulletin board because I couldn’t bring myself to “use it up.”

Pride and Prejudice Art Print

I love this artist’s work! I saw The Gorgonist’s booth my first time at Emerald City ComicCon and bought several pieces, including some from Alice in Wonderland, and this library print (which I think could pass for Regency). (PS note the prints come in various sizes.)

Jane Austen Book Stack Printable

Look at the cheerful colors on this downloadable artwork!

Check out Etsy if you’d like more inspiration—there are so many talented artists who have crafted Jane Austen inspired gifts.

Jane Austen Clothing

I have a few shirts and a bag from Out of Print Clothing, and I absolutely love them! They’re one of my go-tos because they’re so comfortable, even when my fibromyalgia pain is flaring up. I like the bat wing style of the relaxed fit shirts best.

(FYI, there is a seam across the top of the shoulder. This might not be comfortable for some people with fibromyalgia, but I’ve found that not having a seam around my whole arm can provide relief when I’m having pain in my ribs or peck muscles.)

Here are some of the different styles available:

Pride and Prejudice (Relaxed Fit) (Out of Print)

Pride and Prejudice (Unisex Fit) (Amazon)

Pride and Prejudice (V-Neck in Purple) (Out of Print) (Amazon)

Emma (relaxed Fit) (Out of Print) (Amazon)

Pride and Prejudice Tote (Out of Print)

This cracked me up:

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies Women’s (Relaxed Fit) (Out of Print)

Austen fans may also love their Anne of Green Gables items. I love my shirt with the Puffin in Bloom artwork!

Austen Inspired Books

Praying with Jane: 31 Days through the Prayers of Jane Austen

I’m currently reading through this devotional and really enjoying it. I appreciate getting to know Austen better through her prayers, and seeing what was encouraging her.

A Jane Austen Devotional

I’m looking forward to reading this beautiful devotional I was gifted.

Sense and Sensibility Screenplay and Diaries

I loved seeing how one of my favorite book adaptations ever was brought to life.

Unequal Affections: A Pride & Prejudice Retelling

I absolutely loved this book. I must admit, I’m usually not a fan of Austen retelleings (and I’ve read several) but this one was one of my favorite reads in a year.

Read my review of it here.

The Other Bennet Sister

This is the other retelling I absolutely loved. I think any Austen fan will enjoy reading this imagining of Mary’s story.

A Story in Letters

I love this idea and want to check this out! You sign up to receive a series of letters in the mail, and each one reveals more of a story.

The Adelaide Magnolia Collection is set in Regency England

Check out the other stories here. (Good news, they mail to 35 countries.)

PS Be sure to follow them on social media to be on the lookout for discount codes.

Streaming and Video

Acorn or Britbox Subscription

Give the gift of lots of historical content and costume dramas, including numerous Jane Austen adaptations. We currently have Britbox and I love it. You can also subscribe to them through Amazon Prime (for an additional cost).

Pride and Prejudice: Having a Ball DVD

This program offers a magical and historically accurate look at what attending a ball would have been like in Regency England. I learned many new things, and being able to see a ball come to life really transported me back in time in a way even movie adaptations hadn’t before.

Freebies

Bonus! I wanted to share some fun freebies.

Two years ago, I enjoyed going through this digital Jane Austen Advent Calendar online on Austen Variations: Advent Day 1 – Puzzles, Puzzles Everywhere! – Jane Austen Variations

You’ll find puzzles, recipes, games, fun posts about Jane Austen’s world at Christmas, and more,

You know I love escape rooms, so I was thrilled to see there are Jane Austen escape rooms. (They’re on Day 7.)  I forgot to check these out, so I’m excited to.

I also really enjoyed a free documentary about Jane Austen’s life–find out more here, along with info about other shows about fascinating people and places.

Plus, you might like these library card themed printables I created. They’ll help you keep track of all your reading.
