Mischievous Cat Printables

Happy October my friends! I’m excited to share these cat silhouette printables with you. I had a lot of fun making them because they are inspired by two of my favorite cats. October seems like the perfect time to add some black cats to my décor. I hope you love them too!

Since I can’t have any pets right now due to my health, I’m very fortunate that my family and friends share their cats with me. Today’s printables are inspired by my “adopted” cats: Bunny and Tigger.

Bunny’s Sassy Printables

The first printable I made in honor of Bunny, my friend Melissa’s cat. He just turned 14 and is as spunky as ever. I first got to meet Bunny over video calls when Melissa was living on the East coast. When we finally got to meet, I think he recognized my voice because he was quite comfortable and friendly—and he didn’t even try to bite me, which is a naughty habit of his!

We often joke about how wild and opinionated Bunny can be, so when I came across this article about Alligator Loki, I had to send it to Melissa. This is the wonderful description of the character that caught my attention: “…he nevertheless steals every scene in which he appears – and all of our hearts along the way – thanks to his sassy growls and penchant for violence.”

I sent Melissa the quote and asked “Remind you of anyone?” She sent me a photo of Bunny (doing nothing more rambunctious than sitting) and I responded that he looked sassy and ready for violence. I knew I had to make him a printable with this description.

Bunny often cheers me up when I’m dealing with health issues—in addition to being a bit wild, he’s quite cuddly and adorable. He’s also dealt with a lot of health issues the last couple years (so no wonder the little guy can get feisty!) but fortunately is doing well now. If you want more Bunny in your life (because who wouldn’t!) he has an Instagram account.

 

Tigger’s Mischievous Printable

The second printable is inspired by Tigger, my grandma’s fluffy orange kitty who adopted her a couple years ago. Unfortunately, Tigger passed away this summer before I got these printables finished, but I thought this would be a great way to remember him.

Tigger was so sweet and adored my grandma, following her around the yard and supervising as she gardened. He was very snuggly and sweet and could often be spotted curled up for a nap under the hydrangeas. In addition to his sweet side, he was quite playful and got into some amusing adventures.

One time, I was walking towards some baby bunnies to encourage them to go somewhere else before Tig spotted them. But Tigger saw me and thought I was going to chase bunnies with him! He went almost completely flat and started slinking along behind me, looking up at me whenever I stopped moving as if waiting for my signal. My mom, grandma, and I were laughing so much that we startled the bunnies, who had plenty of time to find a safer part of the yard. But from then on, Tigger seemed to think we were hunting buddies. When I started taking close up photos of flowers or something in the yard, he got very curious.

Another time I saw Tigger pounce on something, and next thing I knew, he was proudly carrying a snake right towards my grandma’s house! My grandma hates nothing more than snakes. I was able to encourage him to drop the snake so I could release it into some bushes. Tigger seemed a bit confused but not too bothered, probably figuring I was simply the worst hunter ever and had let another thing we were chasing get away.

So if a phrase were to sum up the cuddly side of Tigger but also his habit of getting into mischief, I thought “mostly fluff and mischief” was perfect.
